2018 is off and running, and it's a very exciting time for us here at Attitude Dance Company. Our new Ensemble have started rehearsals, we have a performance at a large event in Melbourne, and we've announced our latest dance theatre production.
Our new semi-professional/profit share dance ensemble have started rehearsing together, and they're already dancing beautifully as an ensemble. We'll be announcing the Ensemble members very soon, watch this space! They also have a production coming up later in 2018, so keep an eye out for that as well.
Our latest production (dis)connect is coming to the Shenton Performing Arts Centre in East Geelong this July. We can't wait to get started with our amazing cast and bring this beautiful show to you all.
(dis)connect explores and confronts our most basic need and common fear, connecting with each other, and asks the questions: Are we more or less connected now than ever before Should we let people in or leave a quiet place for ourselves? Why do we sometimes fight the human urge to reach out to one another? How do we navigate a world where we are more connected than ever, yet somehow we are left feeling increasingly isolated?
Last, but not least, we are going to be performing at RAW Melbourne's MAGNIFY on the 19th of April. It's a fantastic event with some of the best from all the art forms around Melbourne, including photographers, fashion designers, filmmakers, musicians, performing artists and more!
